Somerset West Private Sector Housing partnership (SWPSHP) recently launched a revised version of the Private Sector Housing Renewal Policy. The Policy provides details on the grants and other financial help on offer such as low interest loans. The policy aims to assist the most vulnerable households in the community, owners of empty properties who are looking to invest money in bringing them back into use taking nominations from the Council, and landlords looking for funding to bring their property up to a standard which makes them eligible for the voluntary landlord Accreditation Scheme. One key area of the policy is our loans.
SWPSHP work in partnership with not for profit lender Wessex Resolutions CIC to provide eligible homeowners with council subsidised loans for essential home repairs. There are a variety of loan products available to meet individual needs and means and a range of works are covered under the scheme.
Anyone who owns their home knows that there is always something that requires fixing, replacing or installing. We can ease the stress of financing home repairs with a loan partnership where 84% of clients rate the service as excellent.
Wessex Resolutions are offering discounted loans to people in Taunton Deane, Sedgemoor and West Somerset Councils, see the below blog for further details
